When I was working for The Majlis Resort in Kenya, I've suggested an innovative idea - to film nearby old Lamu town instead of filming a standard hotel promo video. And honestly speaking I even did not expect how effective this idea will be. When the Majlis published this video to Facebook, it caused a viral effect. It was reposted by various travel agencies, government organizations and people up to the Minister of Tourism of Kenya. Previously, the Majlis videos had about 100 views. But this video in a few days, without $1 of advertising received more than 36 000 views. As a result The Majlis Resort significantly increased the number of Facebook fans, and the number of guests of course.
